Tony G and Phil Hellmuth have been reunited for the first time since the Big Game in Vegas earlier this year at the €3,000 + €300 WPT Malta at the Casino at Portomaso but is this cold war thawing?
The re-entry tournament saw Phil Hellmuth last 15 minutes after an ‘Italian Job’ on Day 1A much to the delight of Tony G – a camera caught the ‘Poker Brat’ elimination, did Phil qualify?
Earlier in the evening Tony gave an unimpressed Phil a warm welcome to the game in the hotel lobby as they discussed a $1 million challenge at WPT Malta. Tony had gone on an uncontrollable rant the night before offering up the challenge.
Day 1b of the WPT Malta, is currently underway at the glamorous Casino at Portomaso, under the supervision of Matt Savage.
